A fabulous new Beatrix Potter exhibition is opening at the V&A on 12 February which will explore the places and animals which inspired Potter’s works and examine her fascination with science and conservation.
The retrospective has been organised in collaboration with the National Trust, whom Potter entrusted with her 4000 acres of land (including 15 farms and her home, Hill Top) when she died in 1943. Highlights of the exhibition include personal photographs, letters and a multitude of exquisite illustrations.
Prior to visiting, you may be interested in an online workshop the V&A is running on 25 January, where you can learn to illustrate animal characters (for 13 – 17 year olds).
Both the exhibition tickets and the workshop can be booked via the V&A website.
