Cahoots London have just launched Cahoots Postal Office, a fabulous experiential 1940s themed cocktail bar, in fashionable Borough.

About

Following on from the success of their first establishment, the Underground & Ticket Hall in Soho, Cahoots have opened their second themed bar in Borough.

The theme of the cocktail bar is a 1940s postal office. Cahoots explain: “Within an old railway arch, the venue is modelled on a vintage post office where The Cahoots Scoundrels have commandeered a mail depot, transforming it into a raucous high spirits hub for distributing pilfered rations, home-brewed hooch, and cocktails featuring exotic smuggled ingredients.

Entering through the post office shopfront, Cahoots guests are greeted at the overflowing mail counter, by a Postie; keeping watch for suspicious coppers looking to bust the Cahoots Scoundrels and their latest illicit Borough cocktail operation. Guests are directed through a postbox into 1946 and a whole new Cahoots world. In stark contrast to the façade of the post office, the two-floor sorting area is a bustling hive of activity, with a capacity for 80 seated guests or 120 standing guests for private events.

…immersive and interactive elements feature throughout the venue. From hidden mechanical controls to functional buttons that impact the sound, lighting and general operation of the space. Decorative elements include suspicious rattling parcels, a shaking crate suspended overhead, moving carrier pigeons and an exotic airmail freight from Cuba containing Winston Churchill’s favourite cigars. Maurice, the beloved post office cat, keeps a watchful eye over the sorting area ensuring that nothing is above board.”

An incredible feature is the world’s first pneumatic cocktail delivery system. The “Air Mail” carries cocktails in air-powered tubes overhead for delivery to tables.

The cocktail menu includes:

This Way Up: Patrón Silver tequila, Leblon cachaça, blue curaçao liqueur, pineapple, lavender & aloe vera soda
Signed, Sealed, Delivered: featuring Bombay Sapphire gin, Aperol aperitif, peach, guava and Tassoni Cedrata
Par Avion: Grey Goose L’Original vodka, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, crème de menthe green liqueur, ginger, citrus essence & Appletiser sparkling apple juice

Monday – Wednesday: 4pm-12am
