If you’re looking for something a little special to do during your summer stay in London, you may be interested in Shakespeare in the Squares’ production of Twelfth Night.
Performed in the beautiful surroundings of some of London’s iconic squares, this 1920s reimagining of The Bard’s classic tale promises romance and comedy in equal measure.
Dame Judi Dench, who is Patron of Shakespeare in the Squares, enthuses, “I made my Broadway debut as Viola, so Twelfth Night has always been a very special play for me. I can’t imagine a more perfect choice for Shakespeare in the Squares: music, mischief, missing twins and romance – all played out on balmy summer evenings in the heart of London’s enchanted gardens and squares.”
The season will run until 7 July and will be performed in 22 of London’s squares, including the historic Actors’ Church garden in Covent Garden.
