If you visit Liberty London this season, you will be struck by the most eye-catchingly beautiful installation from FARM Rio.
The Brazilian womenswear brand, who have a pop-up shop within the store, promote the importance of craft and its motifs are inspired by nature. Formed in 1997 at a market in Rio de Janeiro, FARM Rio’s bold and colourful designs were an instant hit, encapsulating the joyful spirit of the city. This is captured beautifully with the installation, which is also here to raise awareness of The Proeza Institute which supports vulnerable women in Brazil.
This inspiring label also heavily focusses on sustainability. Talking to Forbes, FARM Rio explain: “We are part of the United Nations Global Compact and have established a sustainability agenda that aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). One of our most important partnerships is with One Tree Planted, an organization whose mission is to make it simple for people to give back to the environment. For every purchase made on our website, stores and other authorized retailers, we plant one tree in the Amazon – the largest rainforest in the world – the Atlantic Forest and different Brazilian biomes. More than 500.000 trees have been planted so far, and our goal is to make it easy for our customers to join us in our mission of recovering endangered forest ecosystems and protecting freshwater supply.”
