If you can’t commit to an evening at the opera during your stay in London, how about catching a lunchtime recital at the Royal Opera House?
Between 26 September and 21 November, the ROH is presenting recitals in its beautiful Crush Room. Adorned with seventeenth century Flemish paintings and opulent crystal chandeliers, it’s a fabulous environment to enjoy the wonderful programme of music from the Royal Opera House artists. Tickets cost £16 and the performances last for 45 minutes.
In addition to this, on various Fridays from September to November, the ROH’s Paul Hamlyn Hall is hosting free performances, again featuring its own performers and guest artists. With a larger capacity than the Crush Room, the iconic former flower market is no less opulent, with beautiful ironwork and a stunning barrelled roof. To attend either recital venue is guaranteed to be an absolute treat.
