The exhibition will include Harry Beck’s very first draft copy of the Underground system (which includes his annotations), the 1st edition Underground map poster (of which only 5 remain), Macdonald Gill’s Wonderground Map from 1914, a sketch from the 1950s detailing the proposed new District line, alongside dozens of other examples of London Underground designs made up until 2023.

A must-see for those interested in cartography, design and branding as well as collectors, the free exhibition will run Mondays to Fridays (10:30am to 6pm) and Saturdays (10:30am to 5pm), from 25 October to 30 November, at The Map House in Beauchamp Place.
