A highlight in Mayfair’s calendar is the Mayfair Sculpture Trail; it is such a joy to explore the innovative, thought-provoking designs around our neighbourhood.
This year, the following works are on display:
Alien 2 by David Breuer-Weil, part of a series of works where Breuer-Weil explores the sense of belonging.
Meditation 626 by Seo Young-Deok – a mask, created by the manipulation of iron chains, which juxtaposes with the fragility of the human spirit.
Blue and White Infanta Margarita by Manolo Valdés, two wonderful resin tributes to Velazquez’s The Infanta Margarita of Spain.
Ferrari 250 GTO by Anthony James – perfectly at home on exclusive Bond Street, prepare to be stunned by this sun-catching copper interpretation, perfectly capturing the sinuous curves of the car’s design.
The 2021 trail was launched on 2 June and will run until 27 June. Scan the QR code located next to each piece to access audio descriptions.
Further to these temporary exhibits, you can also enjoy the permanent displays in our locality. A list of all permanent and temporary works, and a map of the trail, can be found on the Mayfair Art Weekend website.
