We are absolutely delighted to see that Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project is returning to The Village, Chelsea, for its third year. It launches tomorrow and will run until 18 August.
About
The concept shop will offer frozen treats (handmade in Devon) inspired by grocery store favourites presented in iconic tubs which are an extension of the Anya Brands accessories collection. They are beautiful to look at and the flavours, completely intriguing! The ice creams are also available by the scoop, if that’s what you’d prefer.
The Ice Cream Project explain: “With freezers packed full of instantly recognisable brands, The Ice Cream Project is a tribute to the joy of ice cream and sorbet, with a twist – the household names inspiring these flavours are more typically found in the pantry rather than the freezer, think savoury sauces, condiments, biscuits and even olives…”
Flavours
This year, the ice cream flavours include Bird’s Custard, Kenco Coffee, McVitie’s Penguin, McVitie’s Jaffa Cakes, Sun-Pat Peanut Butter and Tiptree Orange Marmalade. If you are vegan*, there are sorbet options, too – Tropicana Orange Juice, Maldon Sea Salt (with dark chocolate) and Robinson’s Lemon Barley Water.
New this year
The Ice Cream Project are also offering a blind-tasting tea at the Anya Café, where you get to sample the 15 flavours and record your scores. Shortbread and the choice of lemonade or sparkling water will accompany your ice creams, to cleanse your palette.
