The pubs of Shepherd Market

We are so lucky to have several historic pubs just a short walk away in Shepherd Market. Each establishment is different in terms of decor and menu which gives our guests such a fantastic choice:

The Chesterfield Arms
Located just a minute’s walk from 9 Hertford Street, The Chesterfield Arms offers traditional bar snacks, an a la carte menu, a Sunday menu and a great selection of wines. The oldest pub in the area, it opened in 1735 and its former names (Shepherd’s and The Ducking Pond) are a nod to the rural heritage of the locality.

The King’s Arms
Established in 1742, this friendly pub is spread over two floors with great views over Shepherd Market. It offers a traditional English menu and a good selection of beverages.

The Market Tavern
Built in 1808, The Market Tavern retains some beautiful period features. It offers a great variety of seasonal dishes, craft beers, draught lagers, wines and artisan spirits.

The White Horse
Celebrated as Mayfair’s first wine-led pub, the former piano bar has a sophisticated interior and an innovative menu of seasonal small plates.

Ye Grapes
Established in 1882, Ye Grapes is the perfect spot to enjoy British ales, traditional pub food and a Thai menu, too.
