Set within Somerset House, the lesser-known London art gallery, the Courtauld, is an absolute treat to visit. It holds an outstanding collection of artworks including pieces by Manet, Renoir, Cézanne, Seurat, Van Gogh and Modigliani.
Following a two-year closure for refurbishment, the Courtauld re-opened its doors in November. Described by The Guardian as an exhibition space that has “never felt so visible, so refreshed”, we agree that it is the most perfect setting to enjoy some of the world’s most important works of art.
We recommend you allow two hours to peruse the collection. Do ensure you visit the fantastic shop too; it sells the most wonderful items.
