We absolutely love the splendidly colourful lion sculptures which can be seen around the West End until 24 September. The striking installations are for a campaign, delivered by the wonderful charity Tusk with support from Art of London, which has been launched to raise much needed funds and awareness of community conservation and to help support the livelihoods of those affected by Covid-19 in Africa. This global appreciation and support for the magnificent African lions and the people who live alongside them is also marked with installations in Bristol, Edinburgh, The Hamptons, Nairobi, Wellington and Sydney.
The 47 life-sized lions have been made and designed by some of the planet’s foremost artists, musicians and sportspeople.
