The World of Tim Burton, a major retrospective celebrating Burton’s unique and ingenious creations through his illustrations, photography, paintings and writings, has opened at The Design Museum and will run until 21 April 2025.

The World of Tim Burton explores the incredible work of animator, director, producer, writer and illustrator Tim Burton, spanning five decades. The exhibition showcases in excess of 600 pieces over 6 spaces. Highlights include Johnny Depp’s suit and hands from Edward Scissorhands, maquettes from Corpse Bride and Christina Ricci’s dress from Sleepy Hollow, as well as an extensive display of the most captivating drawings.

At last week’s press preview, Burton explained: “It’s like walking around in a weird, beautiful, funhouse!”

The hottest exhibition in the Design Museum’s 35 year history, tickets are now sold out until mid November (as of today). However, if you purchase the museum’s membership, that will grant you unlimited free entry to the show.
